UFO Stories: The Lynda Jones UFO Encounter in Manchester in 1979

The year is 1979, the place, Didsbury, Manchester. Lynda Jones and her two children witnessed the landing of a UFO ship traveling towards them. Lynda approached the floating ship with bright orange lights. Lynda experienced time wasting, she also had burn marks on her face from the event, then underwent hypnosis to remember what kind of mysteries she experienced.

In the summer of 1979, around 9:00 p.m. m., Lynda Jones, 36, and her two children, Christopher, 5, and Lisa, 15, were walking along a riverbank near Didsbury, Manchester, England. At that time she advised:

“It was a summer afternoon. We were walking and I had this wildflower book with me. And I was piquing the kids’ interest and asking them, we started playing a little game to see what that one is called. See if you can identify her. You know that flower. And then my daughter said, mom, mom. We looked up and saw some kind of rugby ball, hurtling towards us at an angle. We quickly crouched down in the tall grass. to avoid it. Because our first thought was that it was a plane on fire. My God, my life flashed in front of me when I saw this. My daughter was absolutely terrified.

Then we went up the hill to see what was going on. And we saw this object. Which was shaped like a crescent moon. My God, it was physical. It was a physical object. I felt like I could have gone up and played. I was a bit drawn to that. Well, really, I just wanted to take a closer look, probably out of curiosity. And he just couldn’t believe what he was seeing. It was like a bad dream.

My daughter called me to come back. I didn’t go back and I don’t actually remember going near it. I got as close as I could, but Burn my face thought the light was too bright.

I had never seen anything like it in my life before that day, and I have never seen anything since.

Lynda turned around, she could see the object moving next to them. She grabbed her youngest child and yelled at Lisa to “keep running.” They crossed an area of grassland. However, as they did so, their surroundings began to appear distorted. The grass, for example, suddenly appeared almost two meters tall. And what is more, it “folded” on itself, as if something “pressed” it.

Despite her fear and the fact that the grass’s behavior was “the strangest thing I had ever seen in my life”, Lynda kept running towards her. Then, she was able to see her housing estate. Still carrying Christopher and with Lisa just a little behind her, the pair ran as fast as they could towards her house, slamming the door behind them.

Once inside, Lynda noticed that Trevor was already home. He looked at her and asked, “What’s wrong with your eyes?” When Lynda looked at herself in the mirror, she was surprised to see how red and puffy her eyes were, almost “scaly”.

Then she told him what had just happened to her husband. Then each of them would draw pictures of the object while it was still fresh in his memory. It was only now that Lynda realized that she couldn’t account for around ninety minutes of time.

The incident, which began shortly after 9:00 p.m. m., lasted no more than ten minutes, including the time it took to get home. However, after being inside for ten minutes, she realized that it was now 10:50 p.m. m.

A little over a year passed before Lynda began to delve into the strange episode. However, in the winter of 1980, desperate to discover what happened in those ninety minutes, she would undergo a hypnotic regression.

Mesmer: “what’s going on?”

Lynda: “I’m looking at the lights. As someone who is next to them on the field.”

Mesmer: “So what?”

Lynda: “I’m floating. I am in a room. There are three of them around me. Tool. Large. Large almond-shaped eyes. They wear overalls of some kind. All inside”.

Mesmer: “What are you doing?”

Lynda: “Shining a light on my face. Her legs feel so cold. I see”.

End of the hypnotic session.

Lynda advised:

“I mean, I really can’t believe it, it’s so hard to accept that kind of thing, and I’m a very ordinary, down-to-earth human being. He was definitely not into that kind of thing. I don’t “I don’t like science fiction at all. I’ve never been interested in that kind of thing at all. So I mean the answer was why me? Why us that day? I’m definitely not prone to imaginary things. And that was definitely not an optical illusion. I mean, it’s pretty hard for one person to maybe have an optical illusion, but for three people at the same time to have an optical illusion. I mean, the odds are pretty slim on that, aren’t they?”

After the math of the incident:

Lynda’s menstrual cycle was randomly out of sync after the incident. Strange marks appearing on her body out of nowhere, also disappearing just as quickly, sometimes within hours, she began to think there was a connection to the strange night along the River Mersey. So much so, that she would eventually visit her Doctor.

When she started talking about her recent pregnancy and miscarriage after examining her, she was shocked, to say the least. She had not been pregnant since she gave birth to her child. Based on her evaluation, Lynda would receive a referral to a specialist. They would confirm that the scarring on her fallopian tubes was the result of an ectopic pregnancy.

Lynda was again shocked with disbelief at the findings. She determined that she had not suffered a miscarriage, much less an ectopic pregnancy, which is extremely painful and can be fatal if left untreated.

Truly strange incidents would occur in the years following the incident as well. For example, several years after the meeting, she received a letter asking him to go to the hospital for a test and examination. When she looked up the results of this, the hospital had no record of her appointment or the doctor she had seen. She still gets these weird written requests for equally weird tests. She also has regular problems with her phone connections and regular line failures.

Another incident occurred with her husband in 1988 while he was returning from Nottingham after visiting friends there. As they drove down the quiet country roads, on several occasions the car’s headlights dimmed almost to extinction before coming back on at full power. This caused Trevor to pull over to the side of the road, his visibility limited. His hope was to wait for a car to pass and then follow it.

Suddenly, Trevor told Lynda to “look up” and there, ahead and above, was a “big shiny circular” craft. It rose slowly at first and shot up until it became nothing more than a dot with a second.

A car passed by several moments later, causing them to forget the sighting as they followed the vehicle as it cut through the darkness in front of them. However, after several miles, the car simply disappeared. Headlights apparently working fine, Trevor continued, looking for a turn where the car might have gone. However, there was nothing but a straight path. The pair also experienced three hours of lost time.
