Throughout history, “U̳F̳O̳ waves” have been seen in various European countries such as England, Italy, Holland, Germany, while in America, the United States, just until the middle of the last century and to date they began to appear. have a high number of cases.
Mexico occupies the second place in the cases of “waves”, which have occurred mainly in Toluca, Federal District, Mexico City and Puebla, although there have been cases in Veracruz, Monterrey, Guadalajara, etc.
Yucatan is no exception and throughout history three cases have been clearly identified at different times.

The most incredible of all had as its epicenter the Yalahau lagoon, located just over five kilometers from the municipality of Homún, and it all started when some peasants claimed to have seen “strange lights” that descended and ascended in this place. More people also saw this phenomenon in the sky and did not hesitate to relate it to U̳F̳O̳s, an issue that at that time was almost unprecedented in Yucatan because there was no serious history of it.
They were sighted almost every day and soon the rumor spread like wildfire, people were surprised to realize that indeed, a kind of special ship with white lights was slowly approaching and remained “parked” about 300 meters above the ground. of the Yalahau lagoon.
Within a week, people from Mérida were already making “excursions” to travel to Homún and verify with their own eyes the daily sightings at that site; in fact, the ship was so large and at times it descended so much that some witnesses claimed to see even the “small windows” of the ship. It was also reported that on at least two occasions a “smaller ship” descended to the waters of the lagoon to submerge and they also saw how it came out.
Even national magazines sent correspondents to Yucatan to cover this case, which was very relevant despite the fact that the internet and social networks did not exist, which would undoubtedly have further catapulted the spread of this wave.
The wave for the second time
In the eighties, there was another wave, in the city of Mérida, specifically in the limits of the Sitpach and Cholul police stations, which led to dozens of Meridans coming for several days to see the spaceship that every afternoon made irregular and erratic movements.
Mostly it was a single craft that was seen for several weeks, sometimes two or even three of these flying objects were reported.

This wave in Yucatan U̳F̳O̳ history came at the beginning of the new millennium. It all started at the beginning of July 2004, when the young César Mata, a native of the city of Ticul, released a video to several media outlets, which he had r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ed days before; In the image, a U̳F̳O̳ was observed circulating at low altitude along the course of the San Juan neighborhood of that city located in the south of the state.
In the r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ing of him, voices of astonishment are heard when they see the U̳F̳O̳, they do not waste their time and get on a motorcycle to “chase” that light and r̟e̟c̟o̟r̟d̟ it for a longer time; a group of experts analyze the video and confirm that it is not faked, that what was captured that night in the sky is real and as if that were not enough, in the following nights several people report seeing that light in the direction of the San Benito neighborhood, which is located at the entrance of Ticul next to “La sierrita”.
The next day, dozens of people already gathered in that area to spot the U̳F̳O̳, which did not fail in its daily appointment in those directions, between 9 at night and two in the morning.
In total there were 12 consecutive days in which the U̳F̳O̳ was seen until it disappeared forever, and the description was always the same by people from Mérida, nearby municipalities and even from other states, as well as national and international journalists who also came to cover this case and they were able to see it.
