Strange ‘out of place’ artifact discovered in ancient Sumerian city of Uruk
In the modern Iraqi city of Uruk, a mysterious statue has been discovered. While you can see the statue at the Pergamon Museum in Germany, we must first address a strange aspect of the statue.
This statue is inside a sphere. No other statues were ever found to be placed on spheres before, so this is definitely one of the strangest discoveries we have come across regarding the Sumerians and their ancient civilization.
The city of Uruk reached its height during the third millennium BC, when the statue is believed to have been built.
Your tour guide will tell you that no one knows why it was done, but there are theories from all over the world.
There is general agreement that this is the depiction of an ancient astronaut. The sphere may be his spaceship or his original space capsule.
Most scholars agree that the face is very similar to scholars’ portrayal of the ancient Anunnaki. This is the race of aliens that civilization worshiped in ancient times.
