S̳e̳c̳r̳e̳t̳ U̳F̳O̳ Files Reveal British Conspiracy

Arquivos S̳e̳c̳r̳e̳t̳os sobre OVNIs revelam conspiração britânica

18 documents with potentially sensitive information were listed. However, only 15 had been revealed as of last year, and without fanfare as they denied any appearance of unidentified flying objects.

Recently, the last three were released to be sent to the National Archives and while they do not contain wild stories about little green men or a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ invasions, they do show that the British government has taken up the threat of U̳F̳O̳s, which they call “Unidentified Aerial Phenomena” (UAP), much more seriously than they were willing to admit.

The first revelation present in the new files shows that the Ministry of Defense had two task forces to deal with alleged U̳F̳O̳ sightings between the years 1947 and 1997.

While one was public knowledge, as there was a hotline for whistleblowing, the second was secret and staffed only by intelligence officials and experts working to investigate possible ex̳t̳r̳a̳t̳e̳r̳r̳e̳s̳t̳r̳i̳a̳l̳ threats.

One apparently serious concern revealed by the dossier was about a hostile government (possibly C̳h̳i̳n̳a̳ or the USSR) that had captured a U̳F̳O̳ and was willing to use a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ technology to attack the UK. So Britain itself was looking for interplanetary help.

Basically, reports show that British authorities were desperately interested in finding an E̳x̳t̳r̳a̳t̳e̳r̳r̳e̳s̳t̳r̳i̳a̳l̳.

As stated in the document written by an Air Force Commander:

“Monitor all reports in case, in the future, underlying phenomena, hitherto unknown/ununderstood, are being exploited by another nation.”

“A real – or potential – enemy could develop a flying device with the characteristics these phenomena appear to have […] high speeds, sudden maneuvers, hovering flight and few radar returns.”

“The RAF should be made aw̳a̳r̳e of new technologies that could be useful to their programs […] Propulsion, stealth and any new electromagnetic technology are of particular interest.”

The Defense Ministry’s U̳F̳O̳ unit was shut down in 2000 after an investigation, also declassifed last year, concluded that the reports “do not provide usefully useful information for Defense Intelligence.”
