ᴜғᴏ ‘ғᴏᴜɴᴅ’ ɪɴ ᴄʀᴀᴛᴇʀ ᴏɴ ᴀsᴛᴇʀᴏɪᴅ ʙᴇʟᴛ ᴘʟᴀɴᴇᴛ ᴄᴇʀᴇs
A U̳F̳O̳ measuring five kilometres across which supposedly has the ability to carry thousands of a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳s has been ‘spotted’ in a crater on the dwarf planet Ceres, according to conspiracy theorists.
A̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ h̳u̳n̳t̳e̳r̳s̳ believe they have found a giant U̳F̳O̳ “parked in a crater” on Ceres. The dwarf planet, which has a diameter of 590 miles (950km), is the largest object in the asteroid belt – a ring of space rocks situated between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.
Despite the hazardous location, conspiracy theorists believe they have spotted evidence of a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳s setting up base in a crater.
The supposed evidence comes in the form of a massive U̳F̳O̳ which spreads five km across.
The alleged U̳F̳O̳ was first spotted by prominent a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ enthusiast Scott C Waring.
Mr Waring said that once the masses find out about the U̳F̳O̳, the likes of Elon Musk and his SpaceX will be heading straight there.
The conspiracy theorist wrote on his blog U̳F̳O̳ Sightings Daily: “This U̳F̳O̳ is parked in a crater, where most the U̳F̳O̳s I find on planets and moons are commonly found.
“The crater is about 25km by 35km more or less and that would make the size of this spaceship 5km from wing tip to wing tip.
“It could easily carry tens of thousands of passengers. It’s like a small city inside this craft.
“Can you imagine what Elon Musk would say if he knew about this craft? I bet it would be, ‘I’ll get there in 30 days.’
“But I’m sure Elon Musk gets a lot of a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ tech from DARPA program.
“They leak it out bit by bit to get it into the public sectors. I think even President Biden has no clue to the existence of this a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ spacecraft and others out there.
“Even US presidents are kept on a need to know basis about a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳s and a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳ tech.”
While Mr Waring believes it is evidence of a̳l̳i̳e̳n̳s, the more likely explanation is much more boring.
As aforementioned, Ceres is located in the asteroid belt. This means it is constantly being bombarded by small and large space rocks.
What Mr Waring is likely seeing is perhaps debris left from a colliding rock, or a strange formation of rocks that occured from an impact.
Astronomer Chris Impey, from the University of Arizona, said most U̳F̳O̳s have “mundane” explanations.
He argued there are billions of objects in the space near Earth which are more than likely the inspiration for supposed U̳F̳O̳ sightings.
He wrote in The Conversation: “Most U̳F̳O̳s have mundane explanations. Over half can be attributed to meteors, fireballs and the planet Venus.
“Such bright objects are familiar to astronomers but are often not recognised by members of the public.”
